Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson stated in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical problem.
